Upon moving to Nashville, Tawnya was signed to Blackhorse Publishing where she then recorded a critically acclaimed ten song album, titled “Carnival” followed by her freshman album "Standing In The Rain." In 2008, she was signed to Wright of Center Music Publishing Company.
In 2013, Tawnya was asked to audition for NBC's hit television show ‘The Voice’, and was officially added to Team Shakira. Tawnya made it to the top 32 before leaving the show.
She has since appeared on King of The Road: A Tribute to Roger Miller, showcasing the duet “I’d Come Back To Me” with Radney Foster.
After co- producing her third record “8 Track”, she followed it up with eleven song record "Watering Dead Flowers". Her newest single release, "Hey, Mama", is now available for streaming on all platforms.
